About the speakers
Professor Adhikari teaches financial and sustainability reporting and conducts research focused on international accounting and ESG reporting practices. He also served as the Kogod Sr. Associate Dean for Faculty and Research 2013-2020. In 2009-2010, Professor Adhikari served as the Annual Program Chair for the American Accounting Association. He is a past President of the International Accounting Section of the American Accounting Association. Professor Adhikari has been an EEC Fellow at the Danish Summer Research Institute, Visiting Fulbright Scholar at Kuwait University, a Visiting Professor at Chuo University, Japan, and a Visiting Professor at Beijing Institute of Technology, China. In six separate years, 2023, 2010, 2008, 2007, 2006, and 2004, Professor Adhikari was voted the Kogod Graduate Business Professor of the Year.

Lisa Francis is an Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions at the Kogod School of Business. In this role, she is responsible for admitting students to both the MBA and MS programs. Prior to joining the AU community, Lisa worked in corporate recruitment and university relations. She completed her undergraduate degree in political science at The George Washington University in 2015. A native Chicagoan, Lisa believes in rooting for the Cubs and deep dish pizza.
