Apeksha Jain, MFE Class of 2022
Quantitative Researcher, PIMCO
Apeksha Jain graduated with honours from BITS Pilani in India with a bachelor's degree in computer science and a master’s degree in mathematics. She joined JP Morgan full-time as part of the Equity Derivatives Group Modelling Team where she worked on various projects which helped strengthen her programming skills in Python and C++ and further sharpened her acumen in mathematics and finance. After coming her Berkeley MFE in 2022, she worked at Quant Risk Manager at Exos. She is now a Quantitative Researcher at PIMCO. She is a trained Indian Classical singer and a dance enthusiast. In her leisure time, she also enjoys reading, graphic designing and playing basketball.
Siddhant Madan, MFE Class of 2023
Quantitative researcher, BlackRock
Siddhant Madan is a quantitative researcher at BlackRock in its Systematic Fixed Income group. He is responsible for developing systematic long-short strategies for trading global corporate bonds and credit default swaps. Before joining BlackRock in 2023, Siddhant worked for two years as a quantitative researcher at AlphaCrest Capital Management, a systematic equities hedge fund. He also spent two years with the R&D team at S&P Dow Jones Indices, working on equity smart-beta strategies. Siddhant holds a bachelor's degree in control engineering from the University of Delhi and a master's degree in financial engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
Shinjit Ghosh, MFE Class of 2006
Managing Director, UBS
Shinjit Ghosh boasts an extensive career within the financial industry, marked by a rich tapestry of experiences. Prior to pursuing his Master of Financial Engineering degree at the University of California, Berkeley, he honed his skills in fixed income trading at ICICI Securities (I-Sec) and foreign exchange sales at BNP Paribas. Following the completion of his MFE, Shinjit further expanded his expertise as a key member of Lehman Brothers' mortgage trading desk.
Currently serving as the Managing Director and Head of Deposits, Pricing, and Financial Resource Management at UBS Global Wealth Management Americas, Shinjit oversees approximately $60 billion in bank deposits for Wealth Management USA, including around $50 billion within UBS Bank USA. Shinjit Ghosh's academic foundation includes a bachelor's degree in engineering from Jadavpur University, complemented by an MBA from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
