Master of Science in Information Systems Technology (MSIST):
The Master of Science in Information Systems Technology (MSIST) academic program offers an innovative mix of information and technology management courses and specialized electives. Throughout the program, the GW faculty challenge students to think critically, analyze problems, and effectively acquire and integrate knowledge, strategies and key technologies to solve the business problems faced by IT management.

MSIST is a STEM-designated degree program. International graduates are eligible to participate in the Optional Practical Training (OPT) initial 12-month and 24-month extension programs offered by the Department of Homeland Security.

Dr. Subhasish Dasgupta is Program Director of the Master of Science program in Information Systems Technology and Associate Professor of Information Systems in the Information Systems and Technology Management department in the School of Business at The George Washington University in Washington, DC, U.S.A. Dr. Dasgupta’s research interests include acceptance, adoption and diffusion of technologies in organizations, cultural issues in information systems, global information systems, virtual communities and social media. He has published his research in journals such as Information & Management, Journal of Strategic Information Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Global Information Management, and Journal of Information Systems Education. He has presented many papers at international, national, and regional conferences. Dr. Dasgupta has also consulted for many organizations in the areas of software development and executive training. He is a certified scrum masters (CSM), a SAFe Agilist, and an expert in software development, open source software, and cloud application development.
