About the speaker
Dr. Murat Kristal
Program Director, MBA in Technology Leadership
Dr. Murat Kristal completed his doctoral degree (PhD) in Operations, Technology and Innovation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. With a research focus on supply chain and operations management, Dr. Kristal has completed projects in resource allocation in manufacturing, the impact of competition on supply chain, and the development of mass customization capabilities through organizational learning and knowledge management. Channeling his passion for analytics and artificial intelligence, he pioneered the first analytics programs of its kind in Canada. His expertise in innovation, ideation and research is evident through his distinct ability to connect business problems with analytical and AI solutions. He is the founding Program Director of both the Master of Business Analytics (MBAN), the Master of Management in Artificial Intelligence (MMAI), and the MBA in Technology Leadership (Tech MBA) programs at the Schulich School of Business. He is an Associate Professor of Operations Management and Information Systems.
Mikayla Wronko
Current Student, MBA in Technology Leadership
Prior to joining the Tech MBA, Mikayla graduated from Queen’s with bachelor’s degrees in economics and computing and joined TD Securities through their rotational developer program. Mikayla had rotated with teams across the bank specializing in data science tooling, ERP implementations, and in-house engineering platforms.
Asma Hassan
Current Student, MBA in Technology Leadership
Asma Hassan is a Software Engineering graduate from York University's Lassonde School of Engineering. She has four years of experience as a Software Developer at IBM and is currently pursuing an MBA in Technology Leadership from Schulich School of Business. Alongside, Asma is also a martial arts and fitness instructor.

Kian Rastegar
Current Student, MBA in Technology Leadership
Kian's started as a service technician and later transitioned into legal research within administrative tribunals and legislative governance. Throughout his career, Kian has demonstrated strong leadership abilities, serving as the President of the Law Student Society and later as the Law School Director. Currently, he holds the position of Tech MBA Cohort Representative.
